“Dreaming on the Beach” è il titolo della serata di gala con concerto, che si è svolta sabato 9 dicembre a The Fillmore, Miami Beach al Jackie Gleason Theater, organizzato da Little Dreams Foundation di Phil and Orianne Collins.
Hanno partecipato a questa terza edizione Laura Pausini, Phil Collins, KT Turnstall, Pitingo and Fifty Eight Hundred.
Phil Collins ha anche annunciato 11 nuove date tra Messico e Sud America nel periodo febbraio/marzo 2018. I biglietti saranno presto disponibili, quindi resta aggiornato/a attraverso la newsletter di Horizons Radio.

This tour marked the 40th anniversary of Wind & Wuthering, Hackett’s last album with Genesis which reached number 7 in the UK album chart. To celebrate Steve and his band played 5 of the best-loved tracks from this iconic album: Eleventh Earl Of Mar, One For The Vine, Blood On The Rooftops, In That Quiet Earth and Afterglow.

Other fan favourites from Hackett’s Genesis days were ‘revisited’: Dance On A Volcano, Inside & Out, Firth Of Fifth, The Musical Box and the classic Los Endos. This mesmerising show marks the first ever live performance by Hackett & his band of the tracks One for the Vine and Inside & Out, and also includes many of Hackett’s solo fan-favourites as well as material from his latest studio album The Night Siren.

The band are: Roger King (keyboards), Gary O’Toole (drums/percussion), Rob Townsend (saxes/flutes), Nick Beggs (bass, stick & twelve string) and Nad Sylvan on vocals plus special guests John Hackett and Amanda Lehmann.
The DVD / Blu-Ray also includes fascinating behind the scenes footage, most of which was filmed on the day in Birmingham. There are also three videos for tracks from The Night Siren: Behind the Smoke, Fifty Miles from the North Pole and West to East.

Il Black Show rappresenta una versione unica di Selling England by The Poundche i Genesis hanno realizzato solo nel tour americano del 1974. Ecco un video di quel live:

Le foto dalle prove qui sotto mostrano un Phil abbastanza in forma (a parte l’ormai consueto bastone), in vista del concerto di stasera a Liverpool, che apre il tour.
E proprio oggi un tabloid inglese riporta alcune sue dichiarazioni in cui afferma di bere regolarmente un paio bicchieri di vino al giorno, dopo tre anni di totale stop in seguito ai gravi danni fisici causati dall’alcolismo.
“Non credo di essere stato un alcolizzato, avevo problemi con l’alcol – dice Collins nelle pagine del Sun – non ho bevuto per tre anni, ora sono in grado di apprezzare un paio di bicchieri di vino”.
Il tabloid pubblica anche una foto in cui Collins beve un bicchiere di birra – GUARDA. L’alcol sembra non essere più uno spettro nella vita di Phil, che ha dichiarato, anche nella sua recente autobiografia, di essere caduto nelle dipendenza dopo il ritiro dalle scene e durante la crisi matrimoniale con la moglie Orianne Cevey.
Ma da stasera a parlare sarà soltanto il palco.
